Of course this is a long day, penguins live in the wilderness, and therefore it takes time to get to their natural habit - it's a privilege to visit and there is a reason why we're seeing them here and not in a zoo! Atma and Hernandez were amazing with communicating the realities of the landscape and wind on Tierra del Fuego and how that might impact the timings of our trip, however everything went very smoothly. “If you have limited time in Punta Arenas, this is the perfect experience. It allows you to cover as much ground as possible. The dates for both trips changed last minute but we were flexible enough as we were in the area for longer. We were still able to avail of the airport transfer. The guides on both tours spoke Spanish and English. The accommodation in Patagonia B&B was basic but sufficient. People were friendly (spoke very little English) and the breakfast was good. Torres del Paine: A very long drive but wonderful views. We were not aware that the entrance fee to the national park needed to be paid…”
